Just so all y’all know, these are my political views. I can argue politics with folks I don’t or barely know from all over the good ol’ USA. I am politically bi polar and I never let my true beliefs get in the way of a good argument. That said, right is still right and wrong is still wrong. If you comment something stupid or simply echo something you heard some pundit say, I will talk about your Momma.
I’m a native of Baxter County, Arkansas. My family has been here for 8 generations, since around 1810. When my people talk about the “Old Country”, they mean Norfork.
My loyalties: I’m an Arkansan first, a Southerner second, an American third. I am descended from Samuel Calhoun Roane, whose mother was the sister of John C. Calhoun of South Carolina, Champion of States Rights and America’s first Secessionist.
I believe that the Republican party is just as culpable as the Democrats for the situation we’re in today, maybe more so because they’re the party that has sold the middle class out to their Corporate masters. It is the Establishment that has become corrupted, and both Parties belong to the Establishment.
I believe that our political system has become corrupted to the point that only the emergence of a viable, well led third party, unencumbered by debts owed to the corporate establishment and sworn to represent the shrinking American middle class, is the only way to prevent the United States of America from becoming a Corporate Oligarchy.
I believe that the way the second Amendment reads, one should be able to purchase a belt fed weapon at On The Go without ID.
I believe that it is the responsibility of American businesses and Corporations to provide jobs for Americans, not Chinese and Indonesians, or illegal aliens. The raw unregulated quest for the almighty profit is good for the Corporations, but not the American people or America. Unregulated Capitalism is as dangerous as Socialism, more so in fact because Socialism at least pays lip service to the welfare of the people.
I believe that the solution to a societal problem is rarely passing another law.
I believe the Health Insurance Companies have raped the wallets of the American people long enough and deserve to be challenged by a government funded program.
I believe Americans should thank God every day for the American soldiers who fought, and especially for those who laid down their lives, to make and keep America free.
I am not anti religion. I am however, against it being mixed into government. -Roy, CBT.
